Geron Davis

Geron Davis, an acclaimed American musician born in Bogalusa, Louisiana, in 1960, demonstrated a remarkable musical talent from his earliest years. Growing up as a minister's son, Davis found the inspiration to compose his most celebrated song, "Holy Ground," for the dedication of a new church in Savannah, Tennessee. Faced with his father's deadline, Davis spent the night before the service pouring his emotions into the piano, crafting a melody that would soon captivate listeners globally. His siblings first performed the song during that church service, and its profound impact was felt immediately. "Holy Ground" swiftly ascended to classic status, being recorded by esteemed artists such as Barbra Streisand and notably featured at President Bill Clinton's inauguration and his mother's funeral.

Davis's collaborative efforts with his wife, Becky, have produced a plethora of well-known songs, many of which have been recorded by prominent musical groups. Together, they founded the group Kindred Souls, alongside Davis's sister and brother-in-law, releasing their highly successful album "Let It Rain" in 2002. From their base in the Nashville, Tennessee area, the Davis family consistently creates and performs music, continuing to inspire churches and audiences across the globe.
