Duane Funderburk started his musical journey in the Pacific Northwest, studying piano with Marcile Mack and Randolph Hokanson before earning his Bachelor of Music from Seattle Pacific University. He further honed his skills at the Tanglewood Institute and Boston University, where he received his Master of Music and won the Aaron Richmond Piano Competition. He capped his education with a Doctorate of Musical Arts in collaborative piano from the University of Southern California.
